Meet the Coaches
Nibra White Sr.
Nibra has been one of the elite basketball trainers in the chicagoland area for the last 15 years. He has also been a certified personal trainer for 20+ years. (ACE, NFPT,NASM) He is an Evanston native. He received his undergrad at Jacksonville state university. He has played basketball at all levels. Nibra has been coaching with Hoop Avenues since 2003. Over the years this program has allowed him to share his extensive knowledge of the game with young athletes and assist them with reaching their full potential. He has trained numerous NBA and European Professionals. As well as College and high school basketball players. With this program I strive to build confidence and integrity and good sportsmanship on and off the court.
Kevin O’Malley began his coaching career running youth camps and skill development sessions with Everette Stephens. He has been coaching AAU / club basketball since 2001. Kevin joined Hoop Avenues in 2013, coaching boys and girls of all ages during that time. For the past 9 years, he has also been an Evanston feeder coach. O’Malley’s coaching philosophy revolves around fundamental skill development, instilling work ethic and accountability and creating a learning environment conducive to a positive team dynamic.
Jarron has 10+ years of experience in skills training. He has been a dedicated coach and mentor helping young athletes reach their true potential. Jaronn was also the director of Loyd Sports Academy. Here he worked with Jewell Loyd closely and her brother, Jaryd Loyd. Together they helped kids achieve their dreams of playing college basketball as well as playing professionally overseas. Jaronn is very passionate about basketball, he uses basketball as a tool to help kids learn not only basketball skills but life skills too. He prides himself on making basketball fun and enjoyable, while teaching them the fundamentals of the game and giving them skills they will carry with them throughout their lives.
Rodney played four years at Niles West, three years on Varsity. He was 2010 All-State Nominee and State finalist in the men's triple jump. He played two years at Roosevelt University, and has been Coaching at Notre Dame College Prep since 2017. He enjoys the game and helping young athletes reach their goals, while developing skills that will benefit them on and off the court.
